The leader of the Movement of Socialists in Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin, has declared he was traveling towards Moscow on business issues, but woke up on the flight when the plane was back in Belgrade.
He said he did not understand what was happening until the crew announced to the passengers that they had arrived in the Serbian capital again.
To be honest, we just woke up. I slept on a plane. When I opened my eyes, they told us we were in Belgrade. I asked: How in Belgrade? N1.
He said he had seen police and special forces gathered at the airport after landing, while then he underwent security checks, along with other travelers and separately.
The seal described the plane’s return as an attempt to political confronting it, claiming there was nothing illegal on its journey.
He added that his destination was Moscow, where he was planning to hold talks concerning the continuation of Serbia’s gas supply agreement.
We remember that at 6:48 a.m., he arrived in southern Lithuania, where, according to the flight platform data, he changed direction and set off to return to Belgrade.
According to Nova.rs information, the plane had reached as far south as Lithuania, when the command was given to return it to Belgrade, arguing that it was about security issues.
Aleksandar Vulin is one of the closest politicians to Moscow on the Serbian political scene and former President Aleksandar Vuciq’s close associate.
During his career, he led several important institutions, serving as defence and Internal Affairs minister, and from December 2022 to November 2023 he was at the helm of the Security and Information Agency ( BIA).
On July 11, 2023, the United States placed Vulin on the list of sanctions, accusing him of corruption, links to organised crime and involvement in illicit narcotics-related activities. /Telegraphy/
