Six years from Father Altini with an emotional dedication to Jakup Krasniqi

Today, November 4th, it has been six years since the arrest of former Kosovo Parliament Speaker Jakup Krasniqi and his sending to The Hague.

In this case, his son, MP Altin Krasniqi, has published an emotional dedication expressing pain and merchandise for his father, who has been away for six years.

Bamba, it’s been six years today… I’ve never had it harder than this time to write about this day. At other times, no matter how heavy the wait was, we held a hope in our hearts, believed that justice would end in the end, that one day this injustice would end and you would return home, Krasniqi wrote.

He has stressed that the years spent and the absence of a father in the family are one of the greatest pains for him.

I know, Dad, you’re old. I know you’re tired. I know how hard it is to spend every day locked away from your family, away from home, away from people who love you. I know how much you missed the years no one could ever bring back, he wrote.

Eric Krasniqi has said that his father has deserved his aged years to pass by his wife, children and family.

You deserve it, Dad, so you can spend your old age next to your mom, your home, your kids and your people. You deserve to enjoy days without worry, drinking coffee in peace, he wrote.

At the end of the dedication, MP Krasniqi has voiced hope that these will be the last years his father spends away from the family.

May it be these past six years away from us, Dad. We are still waiting for the day when we will embrace you again, not to greet you and separate you, but to stop letting you down. We love you endless, Dad, it’s over, Altin Krasniqi.
