Kosovo police have indicated that telephone use during driving remains one of the main factors causing accidents.
Penal acts have not been missed: during October alone, 180 fines have been imposed in the Ferizaj region for drivers using the phone while driving.

During October 2026, Ferizaj’s Regional Police have imposed a total of 180 fines on drivers who have violated this rule, jeopardising their safety and other participants in communications.
Ferizaj’s Regional Police appeal to all traffic participants to focus fully on the direction of the vehicle and avoid any distraction, since even a second’s neglect to use telephone can have serious consequences for people’s lives.
