I’m going to say, “Sujuuk, live chicken and beer crates” sequencing goods over 10 thousand euros in Ranillag

A joint operation by Dogan and the Kosovo Police has prevented a case of smuggling goods to the village of Corminen of Ranillug, where goods worth over 10,000 euros have been seized.

The action was carried out by the Task Force Unit in co-operation with the Regional Border Directorate – South, within the framework of the operational plan Task Force 202650.

After the police reception survey, authorities banned three tractors — Rakovica — with improvised and untapped trailers — that had been illegally entered from Serbia through mountain roads.

In this case, three suspected persons — Serbian nationals and Kosovo citizens — who allegedly were involved in smuggling goods — have been detained.

During vehicle control, 144 crates of beer, 250kg of ground meat, two sausage sacks, 324 live chickens, two professional printers, seven network equipment and six 24-inch computer monitors have been found and seized.

Kosovo’s Dogana and Police remain firm and uncompromising in preventing and fighting smuggling, cross-border crime and any other illegal activity that violates the security, judicial order and economic interests of the Republic of Kosovo. Such operations testify to the institution’s continued commitment and readiness for effective supervision and control of the state border, as well as the importance of interilateral co-operation in fighting cross-border crime, the announcement is said to end.
