Food and Veterinary Agency ( The AUV has decided to return to the country of origin, Serbia, of 11050kg of animal food (110.05 tonnes), imported by the economic operator N.P.T. Hadijaha S.P.K., Rahovec, by producer De Heus d.o.o., Serbia.
The decision was made after consisting of differences with the requirements for security and quality of animal food. Based on the results of laboratory tests conducted in the AUV laboratory and confirmed by AGES in Austria, it has been found that the ʹConcentrat product for milk cows contains B1 aflaltitis at 13 microgram/kg level above the allowed level. The presence of insect remains is also recorded during inspection.
Aflatoxin B1 is a toxic substance produced by some species of modge, mainly of the Aspergillus gender that can contain cereals and animal food. She is known for her toxic and carcinogenic effects. In milky cows, aflatoxin B1 can be converted into M1 aflachtitis, which can be passed into milk, posing potential risks for food safety and consumer health.
AAUV will continue official controls and market supervision to prevent the circulation of nonconform products and to protect animal health, food chain safety and farmers’ interests and consumers’ interests, AUV reports.
