Democratic League of Kosovo MP ( The LDK), Hykmete Bajrami, has declared that prices in Kosovo have increased by about 34 percent from 2021 to the present day, stressing that nominal growth of the budget and Bruto Local Product does not necessarily reflect the improvement of citizens’ welfare.
Through a post distributed on social networks, Bajrami has said that citizens today can receive more euros, but with them they buy less than in 2021.
The growth of the budget and the local Bruto Product in nominal terms do not tell economic reality. Today, we may receive more euros, but we buy much less than in 2021, Bajrami wrote.
It has stressed that increasing figures on paper does not necessarily imply increasing the welfare of citizens.
Raising figures on paper does not necessarily mean increasing the welfare of citizens. After all, if there were well-being, some 250 thousand citizens had not left the country since 2021, Bajrami declared.
