Democratic League of Kosovo MP ( The LDK), Hykmete Bajrami, has criticised Kurti Government for, as she says, the lack of capital investments and failure to implement large infrastructure projects.
Through a Facebook post, Bajrami has raised the question of what is a major capital project completed by this government, stressing that promised or budgeted projects are not enough, but those that are concretely realised.
She has mentioned some of the roads that, according to her, continue to remain unfinished, including Pristina Podujevo, Pristina Djilan, Pristina, Mitrovica, Kijevo Zahaq and Dolc Djakova.
Bajrami has also referred to the Ministry of Finance’s Nine-month Financial Report, under which 376.85m euros have been realised by the end of September 2026 from 998.4m euros planned for capital investments, or about 37 per cent of the annual budget.
According to her, from the amount registered as capital spending, 82.11m euros are payment for judicial decisions, arguing that not all these means represent concrete investments on the ground.
The MP has also criticised the draft budget for 2027, citing some projects that, according to her, have been set aside insufficient means or is not in advance of a budget at all.
As examples, she has mentioned 23 nests that, according to her, have zero euros separated for 2027, DuhundlBanula Street, Pristina Ring, Dukagjini Road, dam construction, and the Institute for Treatment of Varieties.
Bajrami has said these problems are the result of lack of governing capacities, mismanagement, delays in procurement and mismanagement of projects.
In the end, she has stressed that Kosovo needs concrete investment and not promises, adding that a government’s success should be measured by projects it implements and not with figures it presents.
