Famous media CNN has praised New York Red Bulls Addri Mehmeti as the future of football for the National of America in football.
Despite his youth, Mehmet has become a regular title of New York Red Bulls, and last month he also debuted with the U.S. National A.
It is part of a new generation of young footballers emerging from Major League Soccer ( MLS, which is expected to take American football to another level.
I didn’t expect everything to happen so quickly, Mehmeti declared in an interview for CNN Sports, talking about his rapid rise.
First I thought: Wow, this is crazy, because one year I was at the second squad, and next year I was at the first team.
I am very grateful to all the trainers and staff who trusted me and have given me the opportunity to play these games. I’m getting used to it every day.
Dad, the biggest influence on his career
In many ways, Mehmet is a footballer who challenges expectations. His youthful face does not reveal the ability to play in one of the most demanding positions in the field – that of the defensive midfielder, usually called for great experience and tactical maturity.
However, when placed in the center of the field, it seems completely natural. With low socks and height of about 1.8m, Mehmeti easily moves into the field, seeks the ball even in narrow spaces and shows great confidence in his technical skills.
Natural talent, devotion, and family sacrifice are behind its establishment. It all began from early childhood when his father became the most important person on the road to professional soccer.
For me, my father is the greatest influence, both in the field and outside of it, Mehmet said.
The field has been very helpful. I guess I started playing ball with him when I was about two years old. I played ball every day in the backyard and was tied to soccer and made to love this sport from the beginning.
In time, my love of football grew every day. As I grew up, I realized that this was what I wanted to do and the dream I wanted to make.
Albanian parents and big dream
For many children who grew up in New York during 2010, football was not necessarily the first favorite sport. Many were oriented toward basketball or baseball, but for Mehmet football was always the center of life.
Both of his parents are from Albania, a country where football holds a special place in people’s lives. His father had also played soccer in youth, representing the country at the age level.
This love of the game was also conveyed to Mehmet, who continues to live with his family, even though he is already part of professional football.
I love football every day. Sometimes, even now, I play ball with my dad in the backyard.
I quickly keep the ball at my feet even inside the house. I always have a ball next to me and I don’t believe that love will ever disappear, because this is the sport I’ve chosen, and for which my parents have sacrificed many.
That’s why I do it for them. Their sacrifices motivate me every day, complete the talent of Albanian origin.
Otherwise, Mehmet represented Albania in the past but then chose America. Since it has not yet officially debuted with the US, it has still the right to change its mind and play for the Black Bitch, but such a difficult situation can be realized.
Mehmet will be back in the field this weekend, when New York Red Bulls faces the Inter Miami of Lionel Mess on Saturday. Another opportunity for the 17-year-old to prove his potential in the face of one of the world’s largest names of football./Telegraphy/
