The Peja Court has set up today, on 28,10.26, the month-long detention measure against Albert Sylajt, who allegedly killed his former sister, Arlinda Zekajn, in 25.10.2026 in Vitomirica of Pec.
Thus, the Court has approved the Peja Prosecutor’s request regarding the suspect in the murder that shocked the country.
KA LLXO.com has secured the prosecution’s request for the detention measure, and described the suspect’s actions on the critical day.
The request for the detention measure is said to have deprived former brother (her ex-husband) of uncululous retaliation of his life after it had reported his brother (former husband) on domestic violence.
According to the prosecution’s request, after the late woman had returned home from the police station in Pec, where she had reported the violence on the part of her former husband, defendant Albert Sylaja in retaliation for stopping his brother (Jeton Sylyt) from police, the moment the victim entered her sleeping room, he took the axe and entered the room where the victim was.
According to the prosecution, the victim had tried to hide behind the door, and the defendant began to strike him in different parts of the body, mainly in the head, and therefore remains dead instead of the incident.
In the request, the prosecution has also listed the dangers of being released into freedom.
The same prosecutor has escaped from October 25th to October 27, 2026, and there is danger of witness influence and hiding evidence.
The prosecution has said that if the defendant is released in freedom, there is the danger of repeating the criminal act, as based on his past the defendant is sentenced to four formal-shaped judgments.
According to the prosecution, other alternative measures are not enough to ensure the prosecution’s presence and criminal procedure.
Arlinda Zekiaj was killed on Sunday, in 25.10.2026, in Vitomirica, Pec.
Suspected in the murder is her former plot, Albert Sylaj, who was on the run for two days.
Based on initial data, police have claimed her death was due to shocks with a strong tool.
Just before he was killed, about 7: 00 a.m. on Sunday, Arlinda Zekaj had reported domestic violence to the Peja police station.
The victim at 22,10.2026, about 4: 00 p.m., had called the police to complain about failing to comply with the Court’s decision to custody her child.
Initially, she had been notified by police that there was no official vehicle available at the moment and that once equipped with one, she would respond to her complaint.
On the other hand, according to information provided by KALLXO.com, at 17:10, police were equipped with official vehicles and had responded to the call in question.
That evening, Zekaj had informed the Kosovo Police that other people were staying in her house without her permission.
Within the house, police have met the mother of the former co-ordinator, her brother-in-law (Albert Sylyn, the suspected glove officer), and his two children.
In her statement to the police, Zekij had voiced disagreement with the stay at home of former husband’s family, since she considered they had no right to stay there.
According to information provided by KALLXO.com, Zekaj had declared to the police that at a moment her brother-in-law, Albert Sylaj, was directed to her: Get away, get away from me.
Likewise, she had claimed that she had faced a verbal attack on Albert Sylajt’s side when she tried to get the conductor.
KA LLXO.com has learned that by order of the prosecutor it was initially required to compile an official note, while the parties involved were asked to secure and deliver the recordings from security cameras that were installed in the residence house.
As police reported, the victim was escorted to the police station, where she was interviewed, and then sent to her home in Vitomirica. According to the police, she had returned home by her own will.
Order organs have claimed that after reporting domestic violence, the victim’s husband had been arrested and detained for 48 hours.
About 21:10, after the victim had returned home, police received the tip that she was killed.
