His days were rare for 20 years of marriage
Systemically, this woman faced physical and psychic violence from her former husband, Astrit Isufi.
On November 6, 2025, violence took a tragic turn, where the latter allegedly killed her two brothers in Malisheva.
Isufi is in custody, while the victim in a confession to Dukagjin has shown the circumstances of the tragic day.
As long as my brother’s dead, he’s not taken off, he’s got his cell window, he’s got his gun and you insult my brother, you tell him to come out and we’ll deal like men. He didn’t shut the door, and he pulled the gun, and he shot my little brother, when he had the crack, my brother came out, and I was the big brother, and he had his knees, and all the kid is there, and the women are outside, and the children’s husband has committed this crime, has declared N. N, victim of domestic violence.
The tragedy of November 6th was not the first time Isufi allegedly used a gun to threaten her brothers.
For them, the Constitutional Court had imposed a 200-euro sentence for him and his brother, while for criminal acts, domestic violence, the Apel’s sentenced Astrit Isufajn to only 3 months in prison.
However, violence against her and five children did not end with the killing of two brothers.
She still faces threats and blackmail from former husband’s family.
Earlier we’ve heard that we’re being brought in, the police say they’ve taken this case for nothing, they said go to Malisheva not here. Not even a month later when they took the boy without our permission, when we heard the case, the police told us he was there. They barely got it from them.
Now, when almost a year has passed since the double murder, there has not been an indictment filed by the Gjakova Prosecutor, since the case’s television performance spoke to the family lawyer of the victims.
Now, when the case happens, in the following month there are also interviews, because there’s a large number of witnesses who have been there, it’s the whole family of witnesses, but there’s some evidence, that takes time, there’s some of the experts that have to buy the ballistic field, and they’re late, and it’s the Mesar Selimaj, the lawyer of the victims’ family.
Through a written response, Gjakova’s Constitutional Prosecutor, has announced that the Isufi investigation into serious murder and nonlicit weapons is in the final phase.
This institution, according to the response, is awaiting acceptance of expert reports by the Kosovo Forenzica Agency.
Beyond the investigation into the murder of two brothers, the security of the woman who says the violence is not over.
