Democratic Party of Kosovo MP ( PDK), Progress Gruda, has defended the Law for Changing the Law for Specialised Chambers, claiming that it contains no mistakes and that it stands entirely behind the work done for its drafting.
In a response, Gruda said the law was drafted after necessary consultations and in co-operation with his team, stressing that he is proud of the work and responsibility taken during the process.
There’s no mistake in changing the Law on Specialised Rooms. None. I’m proud of the work I did, along with the team we drafted this law, he said.
Gruda said he will continue to support the law and that he would prefer that the discussions already focus on its implementation, not on reopening the debate.
However, if Parliament decides to reconsider it, MP The PDK demanded that the process be carried out with responsibility and legal arguments, maintaining the essence of the law.
I do not withdraw from my obedience, I do not withdraw from my work, and I do not give up the purpose for which this law was drafted, Gruda stressed.
He added that any further step should contribute to building an independent justice, which, according to him, protects Kosovo’s liberation war.
