Minister for Labour, Family and Values of Liberation War, Andy Hoti, has attended the mental health discussion table and psychosocial support of children and teenagers, organised by the Prime Minister’s Office in Partnership with U. NICEF.
The recommendations for mapping mental health services and psychosocial support for children and young people in Kosovo were presented during the meeting.
In his address, Hoti stressed the Ministry’s commitment to advancing legislation and reforming social protection, as well as empowering control and inspection mechanisms to improve the quality of services.
He reiterated the need for empowering the Centres for Social Work, for which the ministry has already urged mayors of municipalities to take concrete measures.
Hoti announced that the ministry has allocated over 2.5m euros for support of nongovernmental organisations offering social services, including housing and other services for protection and support of vulnerable categories.
