This is Customs’ complete communique:
Vllmica, November 4th 2026 — Kosovo Customs, during regular import goods checks at the Customs Home Office in Vermica — has identified a case of incorrect declaration of the tarifa code of goods in order to avoid customs duties and legal requirements for import.
During the verification of the unique customs declaration and the control of the monitoring documentation, customs officials have identified differences in the taryr classification of goods. According to the original statement, the merchandise was classified in a tariff code that did not require licenses for import, and for which only 8% import duties were applied.
However, following the verification and the exact definition of the tariff code, it has been found that the goods are subject to import license demand from competent supervisory organs, as well as due obligations of 10% customs duties and 18% T VSH.
The value of goods, without including import duties, is around 21,000 euros.
The actions taken have found that the incorrect declaration of the tariff code constitutes customs wrongdoing, as through the wrong classification it has attempted to avoid import duties and legal requirements for the appropriate license equipment.
In addition to fiscal terms, respecting the requirements for license and control by competent institutions is important for public health protection. Importing products without supervision and authorisation needed by responsible bodies can pose a health hazard to citizens.
Kosovo customs continues to intensify the controls and verifications of customs statements, with the aim of preventing irregularities, protecting state financial interests, citizens’ safety and guaranteeing fair competition in the market.
