Kurti: Fahru’s rapprochement worked, fought for Kosovo’s liberation

In a Facebook post, Kurti has recalled the sacrifice of two activists who crashed heroicly in 1989, during an armed confrontation with Serb-Yugoslav forces.

In 1989 we had Fahriu’s approach, five years before them, in the mid – 1980s, we had Rexhep Mala and Nuh Berisha. It was these confrontations in which the heroic fall of intellectual activists and idealistic patriots took place to raise awareness and organization of Albanians. It was this decade when Albanians under the former Yugoslavia made up 1/8 of the entire population, but about 80 percent of all former political prisoners were Albanians, Kurti wrote.

According to him, Africa Dzitia and Fahri Fazliu worked and fought for Kosovo’s liberation, freedom of the people and its progress.

The prime minister has stressed that commitment to martyr ideals continues through strengthening the state, maintaining sovereignty and territorial integrity, economic development and serving citizens.

By exalting the Republic and our nation, by defending territorial integrity, by maintaining state sovereignty, by increasing the economy and strengthening the military, by serving the citizens of society, we adhere to the ideals of the nation’s martyrs, Kurti wrote.
