Erling Haaland has experienced a special moment after Manchester City’s victory over RB Leipzig, after he met a former childhood co-player who had played on the same team in Norway.
It’s Andrea Norheim, a football player of RB Leipzig’s women’s team, with which the Norwegian attacker had divided the green field during childhood in Bryne.
RB Leipzig published on Facebook two photos that attracted the attention of fans: one recently realised, where Haland and Norheim appeared together, and the other from when they were both children and held the Bryne FK fan.
The meeting took place after the Fourth Champions League lap match, where Manchester City triumphed 3-2 on a trip to Leipzig. The decision to win the English was exactly Hayland, which achieved the triumphal goal in the 78th minute.
Five years together on the same team
Norheim, 27, and Haland have grown up in the small Norwegian town of Bryne, where they have been part of the same football academy for five years.
At that time, Norheim was playing in the position of the attacker, and today it is activated as a quarterback. In fact, during her presentation to RB Leipzig, the German club had pointed out that it had made Haland’s work difficult not a little of training.
When Haaland erupted on the international scene with Borussia Dortmund in 2020, the German newspaper Bild published an article with the title that the attacker had learned football from a girl.
Norheim, in an interview with Norwegian medium Dagbladet, had said that he did not want to credit himself with the merits of Haland’s success, stressing that both had simply trained together for many years.
Norheim won the Champions League at 17
And Andrea Norheim has also built an important career in European football.
At only 17 years of age, she joined French giant Ollympique Lyon, with whom, in the 2016/17 season, she won the Women’s Champions League, the Championship and the Cup of France.
Later, she was named champion of Sweden with Pythea IF in 2018, and with HB Koge she won the champion title in Denmark twice in 2022 and 2023.
In 2024, Norheim also won the Supercup of Portugal with the Lisbon Sporting.
She joined the RB Leipzig in the summer of 2025 and contracted the German club until June 30th, 2027. /Telegraphy/
