Parliament on Thursday examines budget and property seizure bureau

After today’s Assembly Headship meeting, Haxhiu announced that day-to-day it would be the budgetary division bill and that for the State Bureau for Verification and Confiscating of Inexcusable Riches.

She stressed that the functionality of the Bureau is important for fighting unwarranted property, calling on MPs to support the process.

Public office cannot be a way of wealth or a shield to hide unwarranted wealth. The official who cannot reason on his wealth with legitimate income must account, Hadziu wrote in a Facebook post.

She said she expects MPs’ support for completing this process and implementing the law in practice.

Haxhiu also announced that Krysia has decided to announce public competition for designing the Parliament’s logo.

According to her, with the implementation of the institutions, the Assembly has entered its regular working pace, with the meetings of Headship every Monday and the plenary sessions every Thursday.

She stressed that, with about 200 bills on the Government agenda, the goal is to treat them without delay and accountability.

A civic initiative to change the Penal Code, which, according to Haxhi, will be handled in line with the previous procedures, has also been submitted at today’s headship meeting.
