The former president and current LDK MP, Vjosa Osmani, has reacted after publishing another letter by Arlinda Zekiaj, which had sought help and protection from justice institutions before being killed.
Osman, through a Facebook post, has highlighted the Arlinda sentence to Judge Migen Kastrati: For you it’s routine, for me it’s life.
She has described this sentence as a serious indictment of a system that, according to her, was a duty to protect her but failed to listen to her in time.
A woman and a mother need not pray for the right to live. There should be no need to beg for her children to be safe, Osman wrote.
The MP has also criticised the judicial system, stressing that no measures have been taken so far against judges who, according to her, have shown negligence in handling the case.
Osman’s reaction comes after today another letter by Arlinda Zekiaj was published, dated September 7th 2026, to Judge Migen Kastrati, in which she sought the appointment of the defense order and the settlement of her child’s custody issue.
Arlinda Zekiaj was killed on October 25th in Vitomirica in Peja, while the case has prompted numerous reactions and demands for institutional responsibility in terms of addressing her defence requirements. /Telegraphy/
