LEX ? Arlinda was killed Sunday evening, indictment against her husband arrived Monday morning

A shocking detail has come to light from the Kosovo Judiciary Council ( KCJK) concerning the case of Arlinda Zekaj-Sylaj, who was killed Sunday evening, on October 25th 2026, in Vitomirica, Pec.

According to the CDR’s official communiqué, the Constitutional Court in Pec accepted the Constitutional Prosecutor’s Act in Pec against the victim’s husband, Jeton Sylvia, only on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 8:56.

So, Arlinda was killed Sunday evening as the indictment against her husband arrived in court the next morning.

This chronology raises serious questions about the actions of the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pec and when he was set to take criminal action against the victim’s husband.

Was the indictment prepared before Arlinda’s murder, or was it compiled and surrendered only after she lost her life?

Why did the indictment not arrive in court before Arlinda was killed? Had there been delays in handling the case, and who is responsible for it?

These are some of the questions that require answers from the Founding Prosecutor in Pec.

K JSK confirmed that a number-on-number indictment PP/ II No.1340/2026 has been admitted on October 26, 08:56, and is immediately registered to the judicial system.

Meanwhile, the inspection has resulted in Arlinda having a defence order since September 7th 2026 and that 17th had complained to the head of the Constitutional Court in Pec, claiming that the judge of the case had ruled contrary to the law and outside legal terms.

The case raises a fundamental question: Did institutions take time to protect Arlinda, or did the undertaken measures prove insufficient to prevent tragedy?

The answer requires complete clarification of the chronology of the actions of the Prosecutor, the Court, and the Police.
