LWhis de la Fuente has been declared the best coach of 2026, following historic success with the National of Spain, with which he won the World Cup.
The Spanish selector was awarded the Johann Cruyff award at the Golden Ball ceremony, organised by the French magazine France Football.
De la Fuente led Spain to triumph in the 2026 World, where the finals held on July 19, La Rojareu defeated Argentina by 1:0.
This success adds to his earlier achievements with the Spanish representative, who won the League of Nations in 2023 and the European Championship in 2024.
In the race for the Best Coach of the Year award, De la Fuente left behind popular soccer names, including Luis Enriquen, Michael Artetan, Unnai Emery and Vincent Company.
