The audit findings reveal inherited problems that are more than a decade old, some of which have already been overcome, and the rest are being addressed actively, the Digital Transformation Ministry ( MTD), after publishing a report on the ministry’s 2024 budget, showing that, among other things, there were sixteen objects worth one denarius each and 43 percent of unmet jobs.
The ministry says it is reviewing all findings and recommendations of the State Audition Agency, which, as they stress, are an important instrument for improving institutional operations, financial discipline and transparency.
The majority of the problems identified are conditions inherited by the former Information Society and Administration Ministry, which have been accumulated for years, and some of them for more than a decade. The new Ministry for Digital Transformation, founded in 2024, inherited incomplete data, unresolved property-juridic cases, judicial procedures and administrative concessions that had not been addressed before, the MTD reported.
According to the ministry, a full and substitute property inventory has not been carried out in the last ten years, which has led to serious differences between the current situation, sound data and available documentation.
The individuals listed with a corresponding value from a denarius are exactly an example of such inherited and irregular data, rather than an indication of their real market value. The ministry is currently undertaking activities to clarify the property situation, harmonise data, provide necessary documentation and establish order in state property management. Some of the remarks have already been overcome, while specific corrective measures are being implemented for the rest, they stress.
In addition, they claim the ministry has inherited even some judicial procedures stemming from decisions and obligations created in previous years. /Telegraphy/
