Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed Arab voters are participating massively in the elections and are trying to influence their outcome.
In a video message to supporters of his party, Likud, Netanyahu warned of the high turnout of Arab voters in southern Israel, claiming they are trying to get the elections.
The prime minister called on his supporters to mobilise and come out to vote.
The situation is serious, Netanyah said, referring to the arrest of three Arab activists suspected of attempting vote buying.
According to his claims, the participation of Arab voters in the Negev Desert region was evidently higher than that of the Jewish population.
Meanwhile, the Likud party has reportedly prepared a strategy to reject the results in the Arab communities’ seats. This strategy includes the activists’ commitment to monitoring voters and documenting cases the party could present as electoral irregularities.
Claims of election fraud come at a time when Netanyah is facing an important political race, while the Arab community’s vote could affect the balance between the political blocs in Israel.
