With wooden clothing and a soft pillow, a tire can be transformed into an unusual roofchair
An old tire, several boards, and a comfortable pillow can take on the appearance of a furniture that is hardly connected to the original material. When the base of the tire is completely covered with wood, its origin is almost undetectable.
This project by itself is suitable for the roof, porch, or garden corner. However, the couch’s endurance depends on the supporting skeleton and its connections. Back support should not be fixed solely on the tire.
Required Materials
- An old car tire, measuring R1416
- Bblubbery Compensations, 1215 mm thick
- Leans for outer clothing
- Lists and small wooden beams for the skeleton and support
- Furniture sponge, 310 cm thick
- Synthetic fillings and hard – to – work cloths for tapiser
- Wooden
- Tapiser capture
- Protective Oil or Wooden Fever
Preparing a Tire and Base
Wash the tire well, remove the fat, and let it dry completely. Do not use large cracks, sharp pieces, or metal fibers exposed.
Cut two circles in diameter to the outer diameter of the tire. The lower circle will serve as a base, while the top one will hold the seat.
It is more practical to build a skeleton with two wooden rings, one above and one below. The handles are attached to this skeleton instead of each being stolen directly into the tire.
Before you proceed, place the construction on a flat surface and check if it sways.
Wood – Changing Dress
Cut the boards into vertical pieces of the same length. Leave them well in tart paper, and treat them with protective oil or suitable for outside use.
Place the first board completely straight, using a leveler. If it leans, the distortion will become more and more evident as you complete your circular garment.
Among the planks, leave spaces of between three and five millimeters because the wood changes size under the influence of moisture.
Supporter must stick closely to the host skeleton
Build your backpack with small wooden beams, and fix it directly on the armchair frame. The tire, alone, does not provide sufficient support for the load created when a person leans back.
On top of the plyensium, place the sponge, cover it with synthetic fillings, and tapiser cloth. Fix the cloth from the lower side with tapiser clippers.
For the roof, a loose pillow is more practical because you can put it in when it rains.
How to Maintain It
Keep your armchair on a covered, ventilated seat, away from the grill, stove, and other heat sources.
Renew the wooden protective layer from time to time, and save the pillow from moisture. Thus, the furniture created with your hands will longer preserve its appearance and function. /Telegraphy/
