The Constitutional Court in Gjakova has placed a month in custody for Grenard Rrustaj, 22-year-old from Albania, who was arrested on October 27th during a police raid on the Nimani street in Gjakova, where they seized over a kilo of suspected cocaine, marijuana, an automatic weapon and dozens of bullets.

According to the Parliamentary Court communiqué in Gjakova, the detention measure is imposed following the request of the Constitutional Prosecution, under suspicion of committing criminal acts, possession, distribution and unauthorized selling of narcotics, psychotrope and analogue substances and possession of property, control or unauthorized possession of weapons.
According to the prosecution’s request, on October 27th, about 12: 00 p.m., on the route of Fadil Nimani, the suspect allegedly possessed narcotic substances with the intention of selling or distributing unauthorized.
During the search of the apartment, carried out at the court’s order, 1 kilogram and 9.35 grams of suspected cocaine substance were found and seized, as well as 4.14 grams of suspected marijuana substance.
In addition to narcotics, police have seized an automatic weapon, three rounds and a total of 64 bullets of different calibres. Among the material evidence is an electric balance and cash ready in different currency: 1,175 euros, 200 Swiss francs, an American dollar, 200 dollars, and 100 Russian rubles.
Two iPhone phones and a notebook with different notes have also been found during the raid, which have been taken for examination under the investigation.
It will be held in custody until November 27th, 2026, while the parties have a right to that decision at the Kosovo Court of Appeals.
