PLD: As in Gruevski’s time, public administration is becoming party prey

Executive Board member of the Liberal Democratic Party ( PDL), Dejanco Cvetanovski, believes it is extremely unacceptable for Government to pave the way for a new administration increase, while citizens barely survive the month, counting denars for food and bills and thinking how to feed their families.

Instead of investing in digitalisation, artificial intelligence and more efficient institutions, the government risks creating an even more expensive system that will again be paid by citizens. The people are tightening their belts, and the government is closing the ranks of the party machine! Is this their vision of modern Macedonia? Higher costs, more bureaucracy and institutions in which party interests will be more important than expertise and qualifications?

This is a dangerous reminder of Gruevski’s era, when public administration became party prey and citizens paid the price of political calculations. We should not allow the state to become a service to the ruling parties again.
Every honest worker deserves proper security, dignity, and protection. However, this should not be an excuse for bypassing criteria, neglecting qualifications, and creating an additional burden on public finances. transparent procedures, professional administration and equal opportunities are needed for all, not solutions that raise doubts about party employment, Cvetanovski points out.

According to him, when all of this is happening at a time of serious economic pressures on the family budget, the question inevitably arises: Is Government solving citizens’ problems or preparing its party infrastructure for the upcoming elections?/Telegraphy/
