British media Sky News has published photographs and reports from the recent wave of antigovernmental protests in Tirana, where protesters have clashed with police forces.
According to Sky News report, protesters have thrown stones, flares and devices toward police, while the latter has responded with rubber sticks, water cannons and tear gas.
Also included in the protest are students, who require lowering study fees, increasing investments in education and fighting corruption.
Sky News stresses that students’ demands have become part of a broader move against the government, which requires the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
British media have also published photographs of the protests, documenting tensions and clashes between protesters and police in the Albanian capital.
