The court of Kosovo’s Specialised Chambers has decided to remove part of the editing from the 29 witnesses’ evidence in the judicial process against Hashim Thaci and others.
Through a public announcement, the Special suggested that during the month of October, the publication of the most complete transcripts has been ordered.
The institution also stated that classified confidential evidence undergoes an ongoing revision aimed at increasing transparency and further publication of them.
Posting:
In October 2026, the Judicial Chamber ordered less edited versions of the transcripts of 29 witnesses in the Thaci and others war crimes case to be made public. This decision follows previous decisions with which evidence of 20 previously confidential witnesses was made public.
These decisions reflect the public nature of the processes and the dedication of judges to transparency. During the trial, most witnesses gave a thorough or partial witness at public hearings, while 61 Witnesses witnessed without any protection. Witness testimony, formerly classified as confidential, is constantly revised so that more of them can be made public later, while simultaneously ensuring the following protection of victims and witnesses.
