Students change protest strategy, two national gatherings per week. Next protest on November 7th

After more than 150 days in the square, students have decided to change the protest strategy, moving to a new agenda of two national gatherings each week.

The student movement reports that the protests will take place every Wednesday and Saturday, at 2: 00 p.m., aiming to maintain continued pressure on the government and enhance civic mobilization.

The first protest in this calendar was called for Saturday, November 7, at 2: 00 a.m., in front of the Ministry of Education.

In their statement, organisers stress that more than five months of protests have not yet brought answers to the main motion requirement: the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Students describe the political situation in the country as an autocratic reality and warn that facing the government will be long-term. According to them, the decision to hold two national protests a week aims to strengthen organisation and enable the student network and supporters to be more mobilised.

Another important element of their position is support for any other civic protest against the government, regardless of the date it is organised.

In the published message, students express determination not to back down, linking their cause to a broader battle for democracy in Albania.
