At the Kosovo Parliament’s extraordinary session, Tahiri has declared that the killing of Arlinda is not an isolated case, but a phenomenon requiring response and institutional responsibility.
Without a doubt, the murder of Arlinda is a tragedy that has shocked us all, but it is not an isolated case. Unfortunately, it is becoming a phenomenon which in Kosovo owes us to reflect and, above all, to seek responsibility, Tahiri has declared.
He has stressed that more is needed than expressing comfort and punishing the case, but concrete action is needed.
It is not enough just to express condolences. It is not enough to condemn the case. It is not enough to keep talking only when tragedies occur. There would be reflection today, there would have to be resignations, there would have to be dismissal, as nothing ethical to an event that pained all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, Tahiri said.
The AAK MP has stressed that violence against women should not be treated as an isolated case, but also in relation to the responsibility of institutions.
