The bloc, led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is expected to secure 53 seats in Knesset after counting 99 per cent of the vote, remaining away from the necessary majority for forming the government.
According to Israel’s Central Election Committee data, the opposition bloc led by Gadi Eisenkot is expected to get 48 seats in the 120-seat parliament. At least 61 votes are needed for forming the government.
Meanwhile, the two Arab parties are expected to win a total of 19 seats — a record score for them, potentially placing themselves in the crucial position for determining the composition of the next government.
The previous record of these parties was 15 seats, reached in the 2020 elections.
Count results markedly differ from exit polls (exit-pol), which initially represented the opposition bloc in excess of Netanyah’s.
As for the parties, Lukud of Netanyah leads with 27 deputies, while Yashar ranks second with 21 seats. The B’Ychad party of former Prime Minister Naphtali Bennett is expected to get 12 seats, while Joint List 11.
The Ra ‘%am parties and Democrats have secured eight seats each.
Final and official election results are expected to be published on November 4th.
