Serbia elections, Valley Albanians aim for more representation

Albanians from the Presevo Valley on Sunday will address the ballot boxes in parliamentary elections in Serbia, this time racing with a joint list. Candidates for MPs have called for mobilisation, demanding that political union return to vote and vote in the most powerful parliamentary representation.

During campaign days, candidates of the Albanian Coalition have stressed the importance of participating citizens in the elections, calling on Albanians of the Presevo Valley to support the joint list with the number 17.

According to them, uniting Albanian political parties represents an opportunity to strengthen the voice of Albanians in Serbia’s institutions and address their demands for dignity, equality and respect of rights.

With the motto for dignity, equality and a voice silent in the face of injustice, candidates have demanded that citizens be engaged and mobilized for election day.

They have estimated that each vote matters and that citizens’ participation is the common responsibility for the future of Albanian representation in Serbia’s Parliament.

In this context, candidates have also called for fellow citizens living and working in Kosovo to participate in the polls and contribute to increased political representation of the Valley Albanians.

Let’s engage, mobilize and all go to the polls, is the message of Albanian Coalition candidates on the eve of elections.

They have demanded that the mobilisation of the last days of the campaign be concreteised with mass turnout in the polls, aiming for the political union to translate into more mandates and a more powerful voice into Serbian institutions.

Their call for election day is: united for number 17.
