Interior Minister Jedal Svecla, during his official visit to Italy, has met with Karabinier General Command head Andrea Taurelli Salimbeni.
At this meeting, the security situation in Kosovo has been discussed, the engagement of Italian Carabinieri in the country and the possibilities of co-operation to establish Kosovo’s Gendarmerie.
Svechla has indicated that with the Italian counterpart, they have exchanged views on deepening co-operation, especially through exchange of professional experiences and expertise.
He has stressed that the establishment and development of Kosovo’s Gendarmerie is one of the Government’s priorities, with the goal of building this facility according to the best standards and practices.
