According to the prime minister’s office’s announcement, Kurti has said this meeting with Merzin has chanced to take place following Bundestag’s decision that German soldiers stay in Kosovo within KFOR.
With the launch launching of this initiative in 2014, Germany established a space where the six Western Balkan countries work and treat equally. In this process we have signed agreements on ID travel and diploma recognition, and we have implemented it all. Everyone has to do the same because no one can hold the region hostage, Kurti said, says further in the announcement.
According to him, direct investments from Germany to Kosovo are about 1.5 billion euros, adding that 62% of them in the last five years alone.
The potential in industry, energy, transport, ICT and professional education remains great, and next week Pristina welcomes the third German-Kosovo Economic Forum. Germany is part of our European future, Kurti said, stressed in the announcement.
