– What? The early parliamentary elections in Serbia have registered high voter turnout by noon, while reporting on irregularities.
According to the Republican Election Commission, 34.55 percent voted by 12: 00 a.m., while long lines have been seen before polling stations.
This is the highest voter exit compared to the 2023 elections, when by the same time, 21.33 percent had voted.
Meanwhile, the election observer mission, Crta, reported that by 1: 00 p.m., 41.1 percent of the total number of voters have voted. By the same time in the 2023 elections, the exit was 26.6 percent.
Even in early morning hours, voter turnout was higher than in the preliminary vote.
There are 18 electoral lists in the race, while Albanians in the Presevo Valley are participating jointly through the list of Albanian co-ordination, which competes with the number 17 and has the status of the national minority list.
The locations are open at 7: 00 a.m. and will be closed at 8:00, as the process is taking place at thousands of polling stations throughout Serbia.
These elections also present one of the biggest political challenges for Aleksandar Vuciqi and his camp in recent years, as the student-led movement, born of mass protests that have been under way for nearly two years and has already become an important electoral force, has been strengthened in front of him.
