According to the indictment, suspects allegedly gathered and forwarded information and material to BIA for The KLA, its commanders and security institutions in Kosovo. Shaban was arrested on June 5, 2024, while the Qerimi is also accused of illegal possession, for which he is convicted.
The trial began from October 9th, after the court was changed, due to Judge Vesel Ishmael’s imminent retirement. At that session, the two defendants again declared themselves innocent of spying.
Prosecutor Kodoraliu has stated that the evidence will testify to their co-operation with BIA, citing also the suspicion that Shaban had attempted to connect the KLA military hospital in Molopolz of Shpence with the so-called Yellow House. The accused are considered innocent until guilt is proven by judicial ruling.
