Democratic Party in Albania leader Sali Berisha has announced that a national protest in support of students and high school students will be held on Saturday, October 31st.
During a media conference, Berisha said the DP would stand firm in support of young people and their demands.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Edi Rama has continued calls for dialogue with students who are protesting against the government for the 14th day in a row.
Through a social networking post, Rama has published images of the seats placed before the prime minister, repeating the invitation for dialogue.
However, protesters have expanded their demands beyond education issues, demanding Rama’s resignation and so far refusing the format of dialogue proposed by the government.
Protests in Tirana have been accompanied by clashes between police and protesters in recent days.
