While Zekiaj’s former husband, Jeton Sylaj, was banned on the day of the murder by law bodies after Zekiaj had denounced him for disrespecting the defence order.
Just three days before Zekiaj was killed, she wrote a letter to Peja’s chief prosecutor, telling her that her life was in danger.
