The Alliance’s spokesman, Qemali Kuqrim, has confirmed that MP Ramush Haradinaj and his associate party, Daut Haradinaj, are facing threats via social networks. He has announced that the party has handed over data and evidence for Facebook profiles to the police and justice bodies, which, according to him, is conducting campaigns calling for the murder of two Haradinaj brothers.
Xhemali’s statement comes a day after the Signal newspaper reported exclusively that an AAK representative had denounced Facebook profile in the police with the threatening inscription: The task: killing the Haradinaj brothers.
The sources of the Signal Journal had announced that on 29 October, K.J., the AAK representative, was presented at Pristina Police Station Centre, where he had reported on the existence of the profile containing the message in question. The Special Prosecutor had also been notified of the case, which had directed the initiative of investigations into criminal work, the instigation of division and patience.
Meanwhile, in his reaction, Xhemail has named posts that are being published against Ramush and Daut Haradinaj as wild, orchestrated and extremely dangerous.
He has said that in addition to the police report, there are dozens of other false accounts that systematically distribute slander and false information.
Xhemali isolated the account by the name of Bessmir Kelmendi, who uses the picture of Avni Rrustem and calls himself {Avni Rrustemi 2.0. According to him, this profile, over the past two days, has held propaganda campaigns with public calls for the murder of Ramush Haradinaj and Daut Haradinaj.
This profile is deliberately attempting to connect the name of the Haradinaj family with the tragic case in Pec, using the false quote and claims of persons involved in that event, with the aim of promoting self-trial and brotherly acts, Xhemail has declared.
He has made it known that all the data and evidence for this profile, as well as for other related accounts, have been handed over to the Kosovo Police and justice bodies.
We will follow the legal path to the end for every individual behind these accounts who produces or distributes such terrorizing messages, he said.
The AAK spokesman has also claimed that in this lynching campaign, the ruling party’s deputies are also giving support. According to him, this is being done in an effort to shift public opinion attention from the failure of institutions to prevent tragic cases in Pec.
Human tragedies cannot and will not be allowed to be misused for political warfare or for inciting violence. The authors of these threats and their political promoters will soon face the force of law and justice, Xhemaili wrote.
