Parliamentary investigation into Arlinda Zekaj assassination is launched tomorrow, Rexhepi shows what will be investigated

The Parliamentary Investigative Commission in the case of the assassination of Arlinda Zekaj will hold tomorrow at 11:30, the first meeting in the Kosovo Assembly.

Parliament Deputy Speaker Emilia Rexhepi, who is part of this commission, has indicated that all circumstances preceding the assassination, with particular focus on the actions of institutions and the way the case is handled, will be reviewed.

We’ll have to confirm all circumstances ahead of Arlinda’s murder. The number of our women’s murders is huge and this shows that we, as a whole, have problems we have to deal with, Rexhepi has declared on the show Info Magazine in Klan Kosova.

She has stressed that the commission will try to understand whether there have been obstacles or institutional failures in handling the case.

We will give our best to see how the investigation is going about the Arlinda case and see if the institutions, perhaps somewhere, are blocked in this process, Rexhepi has indicated.

The commission, led by Burim Ramadani and consisting of representatives of all political parties, is expected to start work tomorrow to clarify institutional responsibility in the case of Arlinda Zekij.
