From Monday, citizens can be equipped with electronic identities at seven centres

From Monday, citizens can be equipped with electronic identity at seven regional Civil Record Agency centres, while continuing to expand this service in other municipalities.

So has the Minister of Digitalisation and Public Administration, Luluzon Jagxhiu, announced through a Facebook post.

Electronic identity is stored in Digital Agreement, available for Android and IOS phones, while the Sign app offers one of the possibilities for electronic signing documents from the phone or computer, Jagxhiu wrote.

He has made it known that electronic identity has already been integrated with the Kosovo platform, enabling secure keys without passwords and electronic signatures of documents.

One of the first concrete uses is the integration of electronic signing into the business registration process, the minister has stressed.

According to him, this is the first phase of an infrastructure to be followed by expanding the use of platforms in public and private services, issuing electronic seals to businesses and organisations, as well as continuing to harmonise with the European framework of digital identity, with the goal that these services in the future could be used beyond borders.

The value of this platform will be measured in its use: every new integrated service, any business I use, and any citizen who can conduct a process safely, without having to perform physically, Jagxhiu wrote.
