Switzerland’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Ignazio Cassis, has commented on the condemned verdict against former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders, claiming it is a court decision and not a political decision.
Cassis has stressed that Switzerland supports international courts and accepts their decisions without commenting on them. Thus has he responded to the decision against Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselin, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi.
The Swiss minister’s statement comes at a time when the trial process, which lasted about six years, has been accompanied by criticism and concerns about the lack of transparency, as well as the acceptance of evidence from Serbia.
Switzerland supports international courts, and Switzerland accepts the decisions of international courts and does not comment on these decisions.
