Investigative Commission for the Murder of Arlinda Zeka meets today, in order of budget approval

The Parliamentary Investigative Commission for Acting and Institutional Disactions in connection with the assassination of Arlinda Zeka and the treatment of violence against women and children in the family is expected to convene today, at 2: 00 p.m.

At this meeting, members of the Commission are expected to review and approve the budget for its operation.

Arlinda Zeka was killed in Vitomirica, Pec, just minutes after having filed the latest indictment at the Kosovo Police for domestic violence.

According to the prosecution, she was allegedly killed with a strong tool from her brother-in-law, Albert Sylaj, who was arrested on October 27th in Decani.

The case has prompted numerous public reactions and daily protests in the capital, where citizens have sought institutional responsibilities and stronger measures for protecting women from domestic violence.
