Over 300 new police officials have joined the Kosovo Police, within the 63rd Geneva, whose graduation ceremony is being held Friday, at 16:30.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who in his address to new police officials, also attended the graduation ceremony, spoke of the support his government has offered to the Kosovo Police, according to him.
Kurti told the new police that they will always have the support of the government, while comparing the support offered during its rule to previous periods.
Our government will always be with you. Support for the Kosovo Police has consistently witnessed much higher and unmatched with previous periods. Besides increasing the budget, over 50 percent of us have 20 stations and bases that have been established and strengthened throughout our country.
Police have been equipped with long weapons missing earlier, and vehicles and new cars, Kurti said.
The 63rd Geneva graduation ceremony was scheduled to be held on October 30th, but was postponed. As it had been known, the reason for the postponement was the lack of uniforms and equipment needed for the new cadets.
