Stephen Miller is named chief of Trump’s cabinet.

US President Donald Trump has announced on Friday that the cabinet’s deputy chief, Stephen Miller, will replace Susie Wiles in the position of White House cabinet chief.

In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump has praised Wile’s work, saying she has done an extraordinary job, while having announced that she will be passed into the framework of the TTrump Political Operation, writes BBC, broadcast Dukajini.

According to Trump’s announcement, Miller will officially assume his new assignment Monday.

This change in American administration comes after a series of major republican losses in mid-term elections in 2026, including losing control over both of Congress rooms.

According to an American official, Wiles had resigned to Trump on Thursday evening. Three sources have told CBS News that its departure relates to the republican poor results in mid-term elections.

In a statement, Wiles said that being part of Trump’s team was the focus of her life.

I’m so proud to have been part of what we’ve achieved together, from border security and tax reduction, to strengthen our economy and establish America first. Although my role may change, my devotion to the president and mission will never change, she has declared.

Wiles was considered one of the most influential figures in Trump administration and one of the US president’s closest associates.

Even last month, when asked whether Wiles could soon be replaced, Trump had denied such an opportunity.

Allow options. Susie’s here and she’ll be here for a long time, he’d declared.

Meanwhile, Stephen Miller is known as the architect of Trump’s harsh policies for immigration and deportation.

He was senior adviser to the president even during his first term and has remained one of his most loyal allies, even after the loss of the 2020 presidential election.

Besides Wiles, after the mid-term elections, it was also reported on the departure of several other US administration officials.

Among them are John Eisenberg, director of the Department of Justice National Security Division, and Jason Reding Quiñones, known for involvement in investigations concerning officials who had examined the treatment of classified documents from Trump.
