Kosovo President Justina Shiroka Pula has hosted today’s Besiana Kadare meeting, with which she has discussed the literary and cultural heritage of the renowned Albanian writer Ismail Kadare.
The meeting took place under the opening of the Kosovo and Kadare exhibition, organised at the National Library of Kosovo, Peter Bogdanião, on the occasion of the writer’s 90th birthday.
According to the announcement, President Shiroka Pula has praised the importance of this exhibition in preserving and remembering Kadare’s work, as well as in recognising his ties with Kosovo.
The impact of Ismail Kadare’s literature on Albanian and wider culture is also highlighted at the meeting.
