The Alliance has criticised the Government of Kosovo after publishing the European Commission’s Progress Report for 2026, praising that its findings testify to the failure of power in implementing reforms and advancing the country towards the European Union.
In a media communiqué, this opposition party has described the report as evidence of institutional degradation over the past six years, while accusing the Government of mismanagement, corruption and blocking reform processes.
Today’s Progress Report by the European Commission is the last blow to this power and real mirror of a long degradation. After more than six years in government, this government again testified that it has remained in the hands of ignorant and corrupt people, it says, in the Alliance’s response.
According to this party, European Commission assessments of lack of progress in some areas and limited progress in others prove that Kosovo is stuck in the European integration process.
The Alliance has stressed that the European Commission has not outlined progress in functioning the judiciary, while results in fighting corruption remain limited.
In response, the opposition party has also criticised public finance management and implementation of previous European Commission recommendations, which it claims Government has failed.
The criticism is also directed at executive economic policies. According to the Alliance, Kosovo’s economy continues to be characterised by poor competitiveness, high dependence on imports and problems with unemployment, especially on women and young people.
The party has also raised concerns about human rights protection, gender-based violence and the media situation.
Aleance has repeatedly warned that this irresponsible approach to leadership will cost our state, said in response.
