DThe Democratic League of Kosovo exclusive Hykmete Bajrami has criticised the Kurti Government for realising capital investments, claiming that after six years of governance, it cannot testify to the outcome of any major capital project.
Through a Facebook post, it has raised questions about projects completed by the executive, stressing that promises and budgeted projects are not the same as the real investments.
Bajrami has mentioned several infrastructure projects that, according to her, continue to remain unfinished, including Pristina/Pristina/Podujevo roads, Pristina Gjylan, Pristina Mitrovica, Kijevo Zahaq and DolcGjakova.
Bajrami has also referred to the Ministry of Finance’s Nine-month Financial Report, under which 376.85m euros have been realised by the end of September 2026 from 998.4m euros planned for capital investments, or about 37 per cent of the annual budget.
According to her, from the amount registered as capital spending, 82.11m euros are payment for judicial decisions, arguing that not all of this represents investments realised on the ground.
The LDK MP has also criticised investment planning for 2027, citing some projects which, according to her, have been set aside insufficient means or have not been budgeted at all.
Among the examples he has mentioned are 23 zero budget nests for 2027, DuhdhlBanula Street without separate means for this year, the Pristina Ring with a million euros worth of the 61m-euro project, as well as the Dukagjin Road, for which also amounted to a million euros.
It has also mentioned sharing 1.5m euros in dam construction, despite the promise of five dams worth over 400m euros.
The sins that this Government has not realised that capital investments are among the most important tools for economic development, especially for an economy like ours, which continues to depend on import.
