Carragher explodes at Mac Allister: Shameful Conduct

The former English defender named the conduct of the silverist midfielder as shameful, seeking changes in the way the simulation is tried and the overexploration of contacts at Premier League.

The incident occurred in the second part of the London match. After a midfield intervention, Mac Allister easily hit the back of the head captain of Arsenal, Martin Odegaard, who was on the ground.

The move prompted the reaction of Arsenal’s footballers, while Jurien Timber and Nonnie Maduek approached the Argentineans. During the clash between them, Madueke had a slight head contact with Mac Allister, who fell into the field, obviously exaggerated the situation.

Despite the fact that Madweke had a yellow card, Judge Andy Madley decided not to punish her with a red card. Instead, the yellow ones were punished by Mac Allister and Timber.

Even the VAR, with Stuart Attwell in the review room, examined the case and estimated that contact was not powerful, violent or brutal, not conspiring for the expulsion of Madwekes.

Commenting on the case at ‘%Sky Sports’, Carragher did not spare criticism of Liverpool football.

I’m glad he wasn’t expelled. We need to be much more determined and begin to criticize these actions, saying they are shameful. This has to end, it’s meaningless. I can’t stand him.

He stressed that head crashes should be punished when they are intentional and violent, but not every small contact can be used to promote the opponent’s expulsion.

I’m a Liverpool fan, but what Mac Allister did is a joke. This has to end. Footballers are trying to take advantage of it because they know they can do it and that such cases give them red cards, he added.

Carragher demanded that the leaders of Premier League, arbitration responsibles and trainers discuss the issue and find a way to end the simulations.

On the same line was Manchester United’s former captain, Gary Neville, who praised that Mac Allister’s reaction was excessive.

Mac Allister didn’t need to fall that way. His reaction was exaggerated. She had to get up, she was shy. His guilt began when he struck the Odegaard in the back of his head, without any need for such action, Neville declared.

Even the legend of Arsenal, Ian Wright, praised the judges ‘ decision not to punish Madweken with red card.

According to him, Mac Allister tried to take advantage of small contact to trigger the expulsion of Arsenal football.

The case is expected to bring back the debate on exaggerated simulations and reactions in English football, while criticism of this phenomenon is growing by well-known football names.
