CNN reveals Bolsonaro’s evacuation operation, suspicions of involvement of former Mossad agent

Senator Flavius Bolsonaro has fled Brazil towards the US in an operation involving two vans, a private plane and a former Israeli intelligence service agent Mossad, who allegedly accompanied him, according to an investigation published by CNN Brasil.

Bolsonaro, his wife Fernanda and their two daughters crossed land roads Tuesday in Argentina, via the Tancredo Neves International Bridge, which connects the town of Foz do Iguaku in southern Brazil with Puerto Iguazu in Argentina.

The images of security cameras identified two vans and their directors.

One of them was a former city mayor Foz do Iguaku, and the other was his son.

According to the investigation, a former Israeli intelligence official, who had worked for Mossadin, allegedly accompanied Bolsonaro from Brasilia capital to Argentina.

The agent had arrived in Brazil on October 19, and later traveled with the same van as the senator, according to the report.

However, the investigation did not determine what role, if any, he played in organising the operation.

The family boarded a private Gulfstream G400 jet in Puerto Iguazu.

The plane, operated by the Argentinian flight company charter Beares Fly, stopped at Ecuador’s Guayaquil for fuel supplies before arriving at the Opa-locka Executive Airport in Miami early Wednesday.

CNN Brasil reported that the operation was known within the facilities as Operation Albaú and was scheduled before the end of the presidential election campaign.

Brazilian investigators were considering the possibility of logistical support by persons linked to the governments of Argentina President Javier Mile and US President Donald Trump, the report said.

However, no direct involvement of any of the governments in the operation has been confirmed.

Brazil’s Federal Police said Wednesday they had found no records of Bolsonaro’s passage through Brazilian border checkpoints during leaving the country.

His departure occurred after Federal Supreme Court Judge Alexander de Morares ordered the handover of his personal and diplomatic passports, as well as prevented them from leaving Brazil.

Federal police are investigating the circumstances of his departure and may ask the Supreme Court to block his assets, including bank accounts, according to CNN Brasil. / AA/
