Former leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, has sought legal and institutional responsibility following the assassination of Arlinda Silla Zekiaj in Vitomirica of Pec.
During a statement, Haradinaj described the case as grave and shocking, stressing that responsibility must be maintained not only by the head of the work, but also by officials and institutions that may have failed to fulfill their duties.
He called for professional and impartial investigations to determine where the rule and law mechanisms, including the Police and Prosecutorship, have failed.
According to Haradinaj, institutions should investigate their internal functioning and each official’s role in handling the case.
He stressed that resignations alone do not solve the problem, also demanding political and moral responsibility from those who have had a role in the matter.
Haradinaj added that this case should serve as a call for social and institutional reflection, so that such cases do not repeat and failures do not remain without consequences.
