The Alliance, the party already led by Ardian Gjini, has criticised the Government of Kosovo and has accused power of mismanagement, nepotism and lack of institutional accountability.
In a published Facebook response, the Alliance has highlighted problems with electricity supply, claiming that citizens are facing reductions in electricity, though only during five working days have spent over 11m euros on electricity imports.
According to the party, large import expenditures, coupled with lack of regular supply, risk being translated into additional costs for citizens through increased electricity tariffs.
Another issue the Alliance has criticised is the appointment of persons to diplomatic positions. The party has filed claims on nepotism in foreign service, citing family appointments of power officials at Kosovo embassies. In this context, it has also criticised Foreign Minister Glauk Konjufca’s statements concerning the signing procedure.
The Alliance has also accused the deputies of avoiding accountability in the Assembly, citing their departure from the hall during discussions on the findings of the General Auditor’s Report, as well as blocking the report before the Parliamentary Investigative Commission by the prime minister’s office.
The European Union Progress Report has also been mentioned in the response, through which the Alliance estimates the lack of progress in the justice system and criticism has been raised for combating high-level corruption.
Meanwhile, the Alliance has criticised institutional leaders for their silence in the face of protests in Pristina over the murder of Arlinda Zekiaj in Pec. The Alliance has called for political responsibility, citing calls for the resignation of Interior Minister Jalal Svecla, and Foreign Affairs Minister Donika Grovalla.
The Alliance has estimated that current governance has lost sensitivity to citizens’ concerns and legitimacy to lead the country.
